Emma practically learned how to dance before she walked — beginning her dance training just before she turned three years old. The art of dance runs through her veins; throughout her career she has poured her entire being into fine-tuning her technique, talent, and gift. She has trained in all styles of dance including Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical and Hip Hop.
Much of Emma’s dance training was done at Seven Stars School of Performing Arts in New York, as well as Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. This summer she will be part of the Treadfast Company Intensive. Emma was a member of Team USA at the IDO World Tap Dance Championships held in Riesa, Germany in 2019, where she took home the Gold medal for her trio and Bronze medal for her formation. She was on the 2015 team as well and placed in the top five.
She has performed for audiences big and small at a Brooklyn Nets, Hudson Valley Renegades, and countless regional and national conventions and competitions. Through these competitions, Emma was presented with awards and scholarships to continue her training.
This year she was also fortunate enough to be the lead in SSSPA’s annual Nutcracker performance as the Sugar Plum Fairy. After having the opportunity to teach and choreograph a few years ago it was then she found her true passion and future path. As she advanced in her dance career, Emma knew she wanted to help other young dancers reach their dance goals and aspirations. While attending school full time and tending to her training requirements, Emma enrolled in many courses to excel her knowledge.
Today, she has received certifications in personal training, strength and conditioning, acrobatic arts, contortion, youth fitness, exercise therapy, nutrition, CPR, effective integration of Ballet based exercises, performance enhancement, fitness coaching, and yoga.
Emma couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Spotlight team, passing on her knowledge and sharing her unique gift of dance and her creativity for choreography with all who want to learn.
