Kimberly Allcot

Ballet.


Miss Kim is an Affiliate Teacher with the world-class American Academy of Ballet, incorporating their internationally recognized curriculum into her ballet program. She participates in their Teacher Seminars and Workshops at such places as Purchase College conducted by internationally acclaimed ballet dancers/instructors. Her students have achieved awards and scholarships.


She has produced and choreographed numerous ballets. She attended, on scholarship, Westchester Community College, studying both Performing Arts and Fashion Merchandising. She is certified as an I.S.S.A. Fitness Trainer, A.C.E. Mind Body Specialist in Yoga & Pilates, as well as a member of IDEA Health & Fitness Association. She has studied dance at such centers as Steps on Broadway under ballet masters Howard David and Kathryn Sullivan, The Academy of Holistic Fitness under ballet director Linda Weiler, Bolshoi Ballet Intensives, and advanced classes at The School of Ballet Arizona. Miss Kim is a former member of ballet ensembles and dance companies where she received numerous awards and trophies.


She has performed in several dance productions at Westchester Community College under Julie Ludwick and Mollyann Franzblau. Her performances include lead roles in Cinderella, Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Sleeping Beauty, Peter & the Wolf, Nutcracker and Carmina Burana with the Putnam Chorale Society.

Her belief is that through ballet, students can achieve higher levels of self-confidence, increased ability to concentrate, and improved physical fitness in a fun-filled stimulating environment. She appreciates the fact that students are individuals who learn and develop at their own pace. She is thrilled to be sharing her love of ballet with the students of “Spotlight”!
